We personally love photography ourselves, so we were *picky* about who would document our wedding and their craft. I wish I could say it’s an over-exaggeration, but I looked at close to 100 videographers to try to choose who we would hire. That was until our wedding planner told us her top recommendation was Adventure Story Films. When we saw their work, we immediately knew they would be our top choice. Their work is elevated and on a different level from a lot of wedding videography I’ve seen (which often feels very formulaic and cookie cutter). Instead, Megan + Vishnu take the time to know you as a couple, and truly create a CINEMATIC film that tells the story of your special day. Each one of their films has top-notch cinematography, is tailored uniquely to the couple and their vibe, and most importantly, invokes the emotion and narrative of the moment. While some may think photos can substitute videos, don’t be those people!! We are *infinitely* happy in our choice to hire a videographer, and Adventure Story Films at that. Video tells stories & invokes emotions that photos can’t do alone. And Megan & Vishnu are so, so good at what they do. When we first saw the email that our film was ready, I had such high expectations, that I was worried that my expectations would be unfair. But even with my high hopes, our film that Megan + Vishnu created completely blew me away. My husband laughed as I was in absolute tears watching it. It captured all our emotions, details, moments (some I hadn’t even noticed!) of the day. We will truly treasure it forever. On top of their work, Megan + Vishnu are such nice and lovely people. When we were looking for a wedding photographer and videographer, their work drew us in, and after our initial phone call, we were completely sure that they were the right team to capture our special day. During the planning process, they were so communicative and really helped address all our questions. It was really comforting leading up to our wedding day knowing they were on top of everything to do with photos, video, and timing. It was something we could completely rely on them to handle, which was a huge weight off of our shoulders. Megan and Vishnu are so easy to talk to and really took the time to learn what was important to us leading up to the big day. My husband and I are not the most comfortable being the center of attention or in front of the camera, but their friendly, down-to-earth, and professional natures made it a relaxing and fun experience. The details and moments that were captured were stunning! It really allowed us to relive the day over again, and with more details that we missed or just wished we had more time to enjoy. The tone and mood of the photos really emphasized the dramatic dreaminess of the rainy, PNW weather we had on our wedding day - which we honestly love! When watching the wedding film back, the way everything was shot, the music that was chosen, and how our vows were cut together really captured the essence of us and how we felt. We really wanted photos taken in a more natural setting than our venue provided, and Megan not only was flexible enough to travel to a different site for photos, but she also called the Grotto ahead of time to make sure we could have photos taken onsite. Megan captured the magic and joy of our day; from the touching moments while we were getting ready to the first look at the Grotto, to the dramatic ambience of our venue, to the sweet moments of our ceremony to the fun and joyous photos from our reception. Megan shared a perspective of our wedding that we didn't see, and it has been wonderful looking at the photos over and over again. Megan was booked the day of our wedding so we had the pleasure of working with Vishnu and his sister Dana and they felt like wedding guests - they were so great to have there on the day of and helped with everything (even helped pin my hair back when it was falling a bit after photos!). We so thoroughly enjoyed working with them and were even more excited when we saw our photo album. It's one thing to see beautiful wedding photos of complete strangers on a website when you are looking for a photographer and videographer for your wedding. y! The Mr. and I have never had proper couples photos done, and it was important to us and our families that we had the classic "formal" portraits along with candid moments. We chose both photo and video, and they were almost like flies on the wall for the entire day! Megan and Vishnu provide wonderful correspondence throughout the planning process, and were quick to answer my many, many questions :o) I am SO grateful Megan convinced us to read our vows to just each other; that moment beautifully summarized everything leading up to our day. Our venue was not very adventurous at all (a cute lil' rustic farm in the Puget Sound area), but their atmospheric and cinematic approach made it look SO much more dramatic! They take full advantage of natural light, and their attention to detail deserves a standing ovation. Also, their pups tag along and they are cute as hell.

Our engagement photos in Mt. Rainier were STUNNING. It was a literal snow storm and they worked with what they could due to the snow. Honestly, our engagement photos turned out so well no one would ever know that we took them in a parking lot in Mt. Rainier, that is how wonderfully skilled they are. The day of our wedding, they showed up ready to go (even though their was unexpected snow AGAIN). They captured so many beautiful moments on our special day that we get to cherish forever. We got the photos back 3 ish weeks after the wedding and they did not disappoint! My wedding party told us how comfortable Megan and Vishnu made them feel in front of the camera and that was such a relief. They are so talented and skilled, you need to hire them!

We had to work through many changes to our wedding due to Covid-19, and Megan and Vishnu were there to help and support us through every change.
